The user can raise panic alerts using mobile and intimate her friends and family about her location through chosen mediums like SMS and email.This mobile app tracks user’s movement through GPS (Global Positioning System) and sends location information to the server. It also displays user’s current location on the Google map. User can send SOS alert to server by pressing panic button of the mobile application.
How to use this App
- Download this app and launch it.
- Register an account
- Login to your Account
- Press panic button, the center ([fB]) to send SOS.
- Stop/Start button works as a toggle button to control GPS and sending your locations to server at a particular interval.
- By clicking on my location button, you can see your current location on Google map.
- By clicking on settings button, the user goes to the setting screen. Here he can add max of 5 contacts & email to whom SOS panic alerts have to be raised.
- By clicking on exit button, you can exit from application.
- By clicking on Red key(Cancel) or Application Key, application can be sent in background.

Nirbhaya is a Smartphone application, which can send a distress call or message to a specified contact or group in an emergency situation faced by a woman or any person in general.
The application ‘Nirbhaya’, launched by a Pune based Software Company SmartCloud Infotech, is free to download. It sends an alert by way of an SMS or phone call or Facebook Post with the woman's/person’s location to the configured group through the Global Positioning System (GPS).
It can also be used in case of attempted molestation, accident, family emergency or any other 'customizable' emergency alert called 'Scream' through pre-defined text messages. The application is compatible at present with Android mobile phones. The user is also required to submit personal details such as residential address, blood group and emergency contact numbers.
The users can configure their own list of contacts including police and other close relatives and friends.
A click on 'Nirbhaya' short-cut Hot key on user's mobile's home screen in a distress situation can deliver a text message to the configured contact group, seeking help and indicating the user's location. 'Call' short-cut Hot key can call the given number.
